Is any of our RobotFX trading tools closing your trading terminal?
Do Not Panic! It is quite normal and we’ll explain how to fix it.
If this happens to you, here's what you should do
RobotFX closing MetaTrader FIX 1. If you are not a RobotFX customer (ie you haven’t acquired/paid for any of our trading tools):
  • do not use the EA/indicator on a live account, it will not work. Proceed to its page and consider buying it (after you’ve tested it on demo to make sure that it is what you need)
  • if you are already using the EA/indicator on a demo account, but it still closes your MetaTrader, contact your broker and simply tell them to properly set your account as demo, not live
It is not known to us why some brokers setup demo accounts to behave like live accounts, but if this happens you can tell your broker that the EA uses the IsDemo() command to check whether your account is demo or live.
  • make sure that you are connected to the broker's server, because the EA needs to verify your account (live or demo). Sometimes a bad/broker internet connection or trading servers closed during weekend/holidays are the issue
2. If you are a RobotFX customer (ie you have acquired/paid for a RobotFX EA/indicator):
  • check that you are using the EA/indicator version that we have sent you by email. Do not use the demo version that you’ve downloaded from our website, because they are not made for your live accounts
  • entered your email address in the ClientEmail input within your EA’s settings. We will usually set the ClientEmail to the email that made the payment, and also deliver your RobotFX to this address
  • check that you are using the EA/indicator on your live trading accounts. Trying to attach it on other live accounts will have the same effect; if you need, you can ask for another license
  • if you are using the EA/indicator on a demo account, but it still closes your MetaTrader, contact your broker and simply tell them to properly set your account as demo, not live
  • make sure that you are connected to the broker's server, because the EA needs to verify your account (live or demo). Sometimes a bad/broker internet connection or trading servers closed during weekend/holidays are the issue
  • enable Allow DLL Imports
