The Swing EA is a trading expert advisor for MT4 based on a Bollinger Bands strategy. This Swing EA strategy is based on an interesting Bollinger Bands trading strategy. It has shown very good potential in the markets, but some changes have to be made in order to test it with a demo account/real money.

Swing EA trading results

There are only 3 inputs:

  • Take Profit: the multiplier of the total money invested, for example if you invested 1000 dollars and the TP is 0.05, the EA will close when the trades reach 50 dollar profit
  • Multiplier: This is the volume multiplier in the grid
  • MaPeriod: The period of the moving average in the Bollinger Bands

Been using this EA for a bit and it’s actually decent. Doesn’t take too many trades, but the ones it does place usually follow the trend pretty well. Took some tweaking to get the settings right for my pair though.

Good swing EA overall, not too aggressive. I’m running it on H4 and it waits for decent setups. Trades aren’t frequent but it seems to avoid noise which is kinda what I wanted.

It’s not super fast, but that’s fine. I’d rather have a patient EA than something that overtrades every spike.

Nice tool if you're into slower strategies. Doesn’t stress the account with tons of trades. Just make sure you’re using it on trending pairs or the results aren’t great

I like how it filters trades and doesn’t open stuff all the time. Less noise, more meaningful moves. Just wish it had better documentation on some settings
